happenings. Therefore, we must provide these young ones with a safe and stimulating environment for their sustained growth. We, at our schools, should take immense care in ensuring that the child is given a safe environment in which they can express themselves without any hesitation and are moulded into emotionally healthy human beings. We should acknowledge that mental and physical health are both important aspects of being healthy and strong.

We must also acknowledge that if a child’s emotional health is tampered with, it will lead to certain problems in the future, and the child will not be able to uncover his or her potential. Therefore, we should try our level best to ensure that the events that surround your kids in our institution do not adversely affect their mental and emotional health. For this, we can take some crucial steps in some areas, which are as follows:
1. Appointment of Teachers
The teaching staff’s role in a student’s well-being is crucial. Their patience, kindness, and care directly impact a child’s happiness and emotional health. It’s essential to appoint teachers who are patient, compassionate, and kind, with a clear code of conduct. Teachers should nurture children effectively, ensuring a strong foundation for their future. They must provide equal attention to every child, fostering an inclusive environment.
2. Appointment of Non-teaching Staff
This staff also has a crucial impact on the minds of the children. If they are rude and loud, the child is likely to get apprehended by them, which will affect his or her emotional health. To ensure that this does not happen, everyone must go through a well-equipped process to appoint these staff and ensure that they are not only committed to their work but also sweet and kind. Make sure that they are committed to their work of keeping the premises tidy and sanitised. In this manner, the non-teaching staff can take care of the students in a proper way and also ensure proper sanitation facilities in the school.
3. Resolving Conflicts
Sometimes, children get into fights over silly things, and the way these fights are resolved impacts their mindset. If we are biased toward one child, this can lead to the other feeling inferior. The teachers should have the habit of listening to the students patiently and then fostering good values and behaviour, which remedies their fights as well as makes them learn good values. They should treat everyone equally and love every child as if it were their own. The students should be encouraged to make friends so that they can enjoy themselves together and have a good time.
These steps ensure that the child grows up mentally and emotionally sound, ready to uncover his or her true potential after having built a strong foundation.
Besides providing a sound and healthy environment for our children, we consider interactive and stimulated learning to be the best way to teach or learn something.
Teaching in those same orthodox ways completely bores the child. It makes them zone out on important things, which then feels like a burden to them. On the other hand, through interactive learning, the child understands the concepts clearly and remembers them forever. Thus, we must provide interesting learning sessions to our students that build a strong foundation. The following measures can be taken to ensure this:
1. Creative Teaching Methods:
The teachers should be instructed to devise new methods of teaching that make the basics of a child’s education interesting and stimulate their mind’s growth. This can be done through picture-based learning, organising activities and competitions related to the topic, and giving them play-based education as well.
2. Active Participation:
For the interactive sessions to be effective, we need to have active participation from all students in the class. All the kids should benefit from the teaching methods, and to ensure this, everyone’s participation is a must. The teachers should make sure that each and every child is responding in the classroom and growing. This should be especially taken care of, as it is an important aspect of education.
3. Being Patient:
Everyone has their own pace of learning and they cannot be forced or made to do things at someone else’s pace. The teachers in the school should give time to each student to understand and learn their concepts and build on them. Just because a child is slower than others, they must not be made feel inferior or slow. By being patient and kind in the learning process, the teacher can also work on the enhancement of the child’s mental abilities to acknowledge, understand and learn. Thus, it is very crucial for the teacher to be very patient with the young ones.
